All About Eyes - Red Light

Products Used:
MAC Paint Pot - Soft Ochre
Sleek Makeup i-Divine Palette - Circus (matte, bright red) & Sunset (matte black & shimmery, copper/red)
Sephora Colorplay 5-in-1 Palette - matte white
MAC Fluidline - Blacktrack
L'oréal Voluminous Mascara - black

Another dramatic look... It's super easy, but I can't really imagine where I would personally wear this. I just wanted to challenge myself to create a look using red eyeshadow without looking (too) crazy. I think I achieved that goal and I hope you think so, too!

So I first primed my lid with Soft Ochre paint pot from MAC, which I applied with my fingers. Next, I applied the shimmery, coppery/red shade from Sleek's Sunset palette all over the lid, stopping just below the brow bone. This shade was also applied to the lower lash line, taking it slightly lower than I would for a wearable look. Then, using the matte red eyeshadow and a fluffy, blending brush (Sigma E25), I blended it all along the outer edges of the shimmery red.  Once that was blended through, I took some more product and softly blended around the edges again so the colour will spread out over the eye that much more. Next, I lined my upper and lower lash lines (as well as the bottom water line) with MAC's Blacktrack Fluidline. This product doesn't look good on water lines, which means I really should get a black pencil eyeliner to replace my last one. So then I applied a bit of matte black eyeshadow to the top lash line just to blend the edge of the Blacktrack a little bit. I also used this to fill in my eyebrows, which I applied with EcoTools' Angled Eyeliner Brush). Lastly, I applied 1-2 coats of my current favourite mascara, L'oréal Voluminous, and the look was done!

Hope you liked this look
and
have a great week :)
